Founded in 2007, PlasmaDesign’s nucleus is a small, dedicated team of designers and craftsmen. Together we produce the world's most innovative business cards. We are renowned for both metal and plastic business cards and for providing a free, bespoke design service available to every customer who doesn’t already have print-ready artwork. We combine cutting edge design and workflows with traditional artisan manufacturing techniques, helping to preserve crafts that would otherwise fall by the wayside in our increasingly automated and impersonal world. Moreover, while it is true that we ship to 128 countries, we firmly believe in supporting our community by employing locally and manufacturing all of our products here in the UK.

Customer Support Specialist (Full time) 

We currently ship our products to 128 countries worldwide. Varying time zones, languages and multiple methods of contact all combine to make life in our customer support department both challenging and rewarding. Based at our offices in Hampshire, UK, the successful applicant will be responsible for communicating with both potential and existing customers by phone and email as well as responding to enquiries via our online chat facility. 

 Skill set required

  • Confidence to communicate with customers worldwide
  • The ability to process email quickly and professionally
  • Good time management skills 
  • Fluency in a second language is an advantage but not essential
  • Experience with ZenDesk customer support software an advantage but not essential
  • GCSE Grade B or above (or equivalent) in Maths & English

Graphic Designer (Full time)

We are seeking a graphic designer to join our studio in Braishfield, Hampshire UK. Our environment is the perfect opportunity for a recent graduate or candidate with 1-2 years experience in a fast paced design department. The successful applicant will assist our current designers with the creation of innovative business card designs using unusual materials. 

Skill set required

  • Creative flair, originality and strong visual sense
  • Experience with Mac OS X and Adobe CS
  • Confidence to present and explain ideas to clients
  • A strong interest in graphic design and typography
  • GCSE Grade B or above (or equivalent) in Maths & English

Artisan Printer (Full time)

We are looking to expand our printing department. Based at our studio in Hampshire, UK, the successful candidate will be responsible for printing, packing and shipping our translucent, satin and standard foiled cards to customers around the world. A history in a workshop environment is preferable, and the ability to maintain focus under pressure is critical. 

Skill set required

  • An eye for fine detail
  • An interest in typography and vintage printing techniques
  • Experience with Mac OS X
  • Mechanically minded
